A couple of weeks ago I traveled up to Indiana to visit my parents and my sister. It was so good to be back home and the weather was fabulous! (lows 70's during the day and 50's-60's at night... just what I needed!) Anyway, my parents have a huge garden and because of the wonderfully cool weather it is flourishing. I was able to spend a few minutes in the garden collecting some much coveted (I hate using that word but it is the only one that fits when it come to the need for garden fresh veggies from my parents garden) veggies. I think my eyes were too big for my fridge... for when I got home I had to get my puzzle mind on and fit it all in our little fridge. I was thrilled to get some fresh cucumbers... nothing speaks summer as well as cool cucumber sandwiches or crisp refrigerator pickles (which are pictured below). Yum! Some day I will have a garden of my own.

One of the crafty things I have been working on is a baby quilt for my wonderful friends' first baby. It turned out so cute (if I say so myself!). My husband plays in the band Denver and the Mile High Orchestra and so I thought it would be great to have song quotes, Bible verses or any other quotes from the band wives incorporated in the quilt. My friend was so delighted with the finished result.
